Yosemite National Park today, simply stunning. Huge cliffs, waterfalls and wooded valleys. Just spent the whole day taking in the view, first from the bottom of the valley and then also from the top, stopping at all of the viewing points on the way. Having good fortune with the weather (cold, but no snow, and sunny), summer access roads were still all open and the resulting in some breathtaking sightseeing. Also being a winter weekday, it was almost crowd free (one hates to imagine what it would be like in the high summer season when visitors fill the accomodation facilties in and around the park!). Some amazing hiking and endless climbing to be done here yet (maybe next time if we can stop looking at those views!!!!). Tired from all that natural beauty we have arrived in Monterey andshould have just about enough energy to make it to San francisco via the Pacific Coast highway. Enjoy the selected pictures, naturally we took a lot more than those shown but these may give some idea of what is on shown.
