Death Valley

Today, as well as of lots of picture of casinos we also have lots of pictures of rocks! After getting up a 3:45 we headed off in our 'economy car' (ie a huge Dodge SUV) towards Death Valley, with a slight detour due to the road we wanted being closed. We've therefore discovered that there aren't as many road signs as you would like there to be! We made it to Dante's View just in time for sunrise, then stopped at Zabriskie Point before heading for the environmentally unsustainable Furnace Creek Inn for breakfast. As you can see from the photos it looks a little bit like Australia, beautiful in a desert way! We then drove to Mosaic Canyon for a walk, past the Devils Cornfield. Then back by Badwater (where you can see the lowest point in the Western hemisphere), the Artist's palette and a very long drive back to Vegas. We had a final wander around the strip, ending with watching the Bellagio fountains.
